I want a restraining order to keep someone away from me. Will the Prosecuting Attorney do this for me?
The Prosecuting Attorney may be able to request the judge to add a "no-contact" condition to the defendant's bond. This is standard practice in cases of Domestic Violence. You should also apply for a Personal Protection Order (PPO). There are forms available in the Lapeer County Circuit Court clerk's office.
