Lansing, Michigan - Lapeer County Prosecutor Byron Konschuh was re-elected to the Board of Directors of the Prosecuting Attorneys Association of Michigan (PAAM), the Association announced today.  He will serve a one year term through July 2007.

"Byron was recognized for his commitment to the citizens of Lapeer County and his expertise an integrity in prosecution", said Dave Gorcyca, Oakland County Prosecutor and current President of the Board of Directors.

"I'm honored to receive this continued vote of confidence from my peers," Konschuh said. "I'll make sure that I continue to represent the best interests of the citizens of Lapeer County."

The Prosecuting Attorneys Association of Michigan was established in 1929. It is a voluntary association of all 83 of the state's prosecuting Attorneys, the Attorney General, and the U.S. Attorneys serving Michigan. Its primary purposes are to promote fair, swift and equal justice in enforcing the state's criminal laws, and the continuing education of Prosecuting Attorneys and other law enforcement officials.
